The downward prices of American almonds continue to pressure the prices of the national markets, as was reflected in most of them.
The standard American almond 5% this week stands at 3.61 euros per kilo, that is to say that so far this year it has fallen by 4.75%, while in the annual comparison, prices have fallen by 33.27%.
Thus, Mercamurcia recorded generalized drops between 1 and 3 euro cents in all varieties of almonds.
Prices are now between 3.02 euros from the Commune and 7.85 euros per kilo of grain from the Ecological.
In the Lonja de Córdoba all varieties fell 10 cents, except for the Organic one, which rose 15 cents. The prices are between 3.05 and 7.85 euros per kilo of almond kernels in shell on warehouse.
La Lonja de Tortosa collects decreases of between 5 and 15 cents, and only the Marcona repeats at 5.90 euros per kilo.
And the same trend in Reus, all almonds fall 5 cents except the Marcona that repeats. In this last market, hazelnuts repeated between 1.65 and 1.90 euros per pound, depending on the variety.
The Lonja de Albacete was the only one that registered widespread repetitions in prices, which remain between 3.05 and 7.70 euros per kilo grain. Sources from this auction have indicated that the almond market is stagnant.
There is a lot of caution in the sector. Those who have unsold almonds are holding them – those who can – while
waiting for more favorable times for sale (favorable times that are not yet to come).
And for their part, buyers do not dare to fill their warehouses without having the guaranteed sale.
